Netflix at Advertising week

Following its introduction of a new ad tier, Netflix decided to make a splash at its very first appearance at Advertising Week NY. Instead of creating a traditional lounge space, we took inspiration from the conference’s venue, a former shopping mall, and created our own mini-mall showcasing the power of the Netflix Effect.
Over the course of a condensed 6-week production timeline, we created 5 unique storefronts — an arcade, a costume shop, a sporting goods store, a cinema, and a record/book store — that utilized their disparate displays to highlight Netflix’s existing cultural influence. Using examples such as the incredible boost in sales of white Vans after Squid Games or Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” after Stranger Things, we demonstrated Netflix’s ability to turn any product into a phenomenon.
